Privacy policy

This is an English translation of the Lithuanian original. In case of any discrepancy, the Lithuanian version prevails.

This privacy policy explains what personal data we process when you use the website www.1820.lt and the 1820 taxi services, why we process it and what rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the GDPR) and the Republic of Lithuania Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data.

1. Data controller

MB "Autorasta" (brand "1820"), legal entity code 304923372, VAT payer code LT100012001118, registered office at Veiverių g. 9B-62, Vilnius. Office: J. Dobkevičiaus g. 8, Vilnius. E-mail taksi@1820.lt, phone +370 5 250 0500.

2. What data we process and why

2.1. Taxi orders

When you order a taxi by phone, the 1820 app or the booking form on the website, we process the data necessary to fulfil the order: phone number, departure and destination addresses, journey time, and when ordering via the app, also your first name, surname, e-mail address, device information and location. This is described in detail in section 10 of the Terms and Conditions. Legal basis – performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

The booking form on the website runs on an order management system (s1.taxiadmin.org), which passes the order on to the carrier.

2.2. Website forms

  • Contact form – first name, surname, e-mail, phone number, message. Purpose – to respond to your enquiry. Legal basis – legitimate interest in responding to the enquiry (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Business customer form – phone number, e-mail, company name and code, first name, surname, message. Purpose – to offer and conclude a services contract. Legal basis – steps prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Fleet form – first name, surname, e-mail, phone number, number of vehicles. Purpose – to conclude a cooperation contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Driver registration – first name, surname, e-mail, phone number, individual activity number, licence number, driving licence number and expiry date, and if you own a vehicle – its make, model, year, registration number and colour. Purpose – to assess the registration and conclude a cooperation contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Form data is sent to us by e-mail, and a copy is stored on the website server outside the publicly accessible directory so that the enquiry is not lost. Together with the enquiry, your IP address and submission time are recorded – they are used to protect against abuse (we accept no more than 5 enquiries per hour from a single IP address).

The forms are protected from automated programs by Google reCAPTCHA. For this purpose Google receives your IP address and browser data; the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to them. Legal basis – legitimate interest in protecting the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

2.3. Telephone conversations

For quality assurance purposes, calls made through the 1820 system may be recorded (point 11.12 of the Terms and Conditions). Legal basis – legitimate interest in ensuring service quality and handling complaints (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

2.4. Visits to the website

The website server records visitors' IP addresses, browser type and request times in technical logs. We use this data only to administer the website and to detect malfunctions and attacks (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We collect traffic statistics and evaluate advertising results only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR – consent). See section 6 "Cookies" for more details.

2.5. Direct marketing

We send news or offers by e-mail only where you have expressly consented. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to taksi@1820.lt.

3. To whom we transfer data

  • To carriers – only the data necessary to fulfil the order (phone number, departure and destination addresses).
  • To service providers who process data on our instructions: website hosting (server), e-mail and order management system providers, and Google (reCAPTCHA and, with your consent, Google Analytics).
  • To state authorities – only where required by law.

We do not sell personal data.

4. Transfer of data outside the European Union

Google services may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the USA. Google LLC participates in the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so such transfer complies with the GDPR requirements.

5. How long we keep data

  • Order and form data (together with the IP address) – 5 (five) years from submission, unless legislation provides otherwise.
  • Call recordings – 2 weeks.
  • Cookies – as specified in section 6.

When the period expires, the data is deleted. We may keep it longer only where it is needed for a law enforcement investigation or to resolve a dispute.

6. Cookies

A cookie is a small file that the website stores in your browser. On your first visit, the cookie banner is displayed: "Accept" allows all cookies, "Decline" – only the necessary ones, and "Settings" allows you to choose. You can change your choice at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the website; if you withdraw consent, any Google Analytics cookies already stored are deleted.

Consent to "Advertising results" (Google Ads) allows Google to use website visit data to evaluate advertising effectiveness; the website does not currently store separate advertising cookies.

Until you have consented, we do not store Google Analytics cookies. In that case Google receives only technical signals containing no cookies or visitor identifiers ("Consent Mode"); they are used for aggregated statistics.

Embedded content from other services – the order form on the home page and the Google Maps map on the contact page – may store its own cookies; the rules of those service providers apply to them. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.

7. Your rights

  • to access your data and obtain a copy of it;
  • to require the rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • to require the erasure of data;
  • to restrict the processing of data;
  • to object to the processing of data based on legitimate interest;
  • to receive the data you have provided in a structured format and to transmit it to another controller;
  • to withdraw your consent at any time – this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Submit your request by e-mail to taksi@1820.lt. We will respond no later than within 1 month; before fulfilling the request we may ask you to verify your identity. If you believe that your data is being processed in breach of the law, you may lodge a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate (vdai.lrv.lt).

8. Data security

We protect data from unlawful access, alteration, disclosure or destruction by organisational and technical measures: the website operates only over an encrypted HTTPS connection, copies of form data are kept on the server outside the publicly accessible directory, and access to them is restricted.

9. Our accounts on other websites

1820 has accounts on the social networks Facebook and Instagram, and information about 1820 is also published on the partner website EcoTaksi.lt. The same information as on this website may be published there. When you visit these accounts or contact us through them, the rules and privacy policies of those websites also apply to your data.

10. Changes to this policy

We update the policy when data processing or legislation changes. The current version is always published on this page.
